The 2016 campaign saw the Reds climb back to the Championship after missing out last season. The Reds defeated the North Jersey Yellow Jackets 3 times in the postseason (the Buzz's only 3 losses on the season) including sweeping the Championship series 2-0, allowing the Reds to claim their 3rd NJABL title in the last 4 seasons. Scott Horowitz took home the 2016 NJABL North Intermediate Division Cy Young (back-to-back).
video above: With one out in the inning, right fielder Billy Holden singled up the middle. after a fly out to deep right field by Matt Nesto, Tom Pavero would then follow with a single to move Holden to third. Tom Pavero would then attempt to steal second and Mike Brizzolara (Buzz pitcher) attempted to cut-off the throw from the catcher on the mound, but the ball trickled off his glove behind the mound and Holden sprinted home for the first Reds run.
