Anderson & Horowitz to Represent Reds at 2018 NJABL All Star Game

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - After putting up phenomenal first halves of the season, the Reds will be sending two representatives to the 2018 NJABL All Star Game. Scott Horowitz and Will Anderson will be joining their fellow players of the North Intermediate Division as they take on the South Division All Stars. The game will be played at TD Bank Ballpark (800 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807) on Saturday, June 9th with first pitch at 10am.

Scott & Will were both voted in by their teammates after starting off the year strong. Scott has been his usual self on the mound as he enters the break 2-2 with 1.31 ERA and 38 Ks. He's also contributed big with the bat hitting .429 with 3 2B, 7 RBI and 2 SB. Will has rejoined the Reds since last playing in 2014. He hasn't missed a beat slashing .379/.419/.690/1.109 with 6 R, 3 2B, 2 HR, 6 SB and 20 TB.

The Reds enter the All Star break with a 5-3 record, good for 3rd place in the North Intermediate Division.

The second half of the season begins tomorrow when the Reds host the Hawthorne Chico's for a double header at Oakwood Park (New Providence) at 3:00pm. The later start time is due the Reds involvement again this year with the 2018 Bikers for Brooke charity event which raises money and awareness for The Brooke Healey Foundation - Pediatric Cancer and the memory of Brooke Healey. Be sure to stop by the event on Sunday from 12pm-2pm at Mount Caramel Hall (56 River Road, Berkeley Heights, NJ).
