Reds Sweep Jokers to Extend Winning Streak to Seven

New Providence, NJ - The New Providence Reds continued their winning ways last Sunday with a pair of 10–0 wins in a doubleheader against the Jersey City Jokers.
The wins improved the Reds record to 9-1 and clinched the number one seed in the playoffs. The wins, also marked the seventh straight win for a Reds team that has been hitting on all cylinders going into the playoffs.
In game one, the Reds got things going early as they scored three runs in the first inning to take a 3-0 lead. Third baseman Robert Grasso continued his strong season, driving in the first run with an RBI single. Later in the inning, outfielder Vince Graziano extended the lead with a sacrifice fly to left. Rahul Oza would then draw a bases-loaded walk to plate the final run of the inning.
